Initiatives

Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles coordinated the actions carried out in Belgium on the occasion of World Fair Play Day 2025.

For this first inclusion in the UN calendar on May 19, the association invited various audiences to show their support for this global day.

Diplomatic Support for Fair Play

On World Fair Play Day 2025, the embassies based in Brussels of Germany, Azerbaijan, Chile, Hungary, and Djibouti — among the countries that signed the UN resolution — sent a photo of their teams dressed in the colors of the Day.
A strong symbol of international commitment, encouraged by Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Local Communities Join the Fair Play Movement

Many of the association’s member communities and institutions took photos of themselves with different messages or tools to promote Fair-Play. Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles, coordinator of the Day in Belgium, successfully brought local communities together around a universal message.

Fair Play Shines in the Capital

The video clip “Fair Play is Every Day” was widely shared on social media.
Meanwhile, the Manneken Pis — the iconic little statue of Brussels — once again wore its Fair Play outfit this year. It was also an opportunity for writer Maroan Abdallah to recite a piece reminding us that “Fair Play is a beginning, never an end.”
