Active Belgian partners

In addition to the Belgian Olympic Committee a number of organisations have recently joined the WFPD across the country. Their activities is special because one of the 4 founding organisations is the Panathlon-Wallonie-Bruxelles, who handle Fair Play with high priority for many years.
Welcome among our partners the Belgian Olympic Committee, the Special Olympics Belgium, the Urban Youth Games, the Ligue Francophone de Handball, the Association Francophone de Golf, the Ligue Francophone de Hockey, the Parc Auderghem Hockey Club, the Royal Léopold Club and the Association Foot Fair-Play.

The Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (BOIC-COIB), is the National Olympic Committee for Belgium. The administrative seat is located in Brussels. The Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee was founded and recognized by International Olympic Committee in 1906.
Special Olympics is a global movement, active in 193 countries, which provides sports activities for people with an intellectual disability (ID). The Belgian program exists since 1979, reaches now 19.173 athletes with an ID and organizes annual National Games with 20 sports. SOB is supported by 11.000 volunteers (65% of them are coming from Corporates). Their goal is to reach more athletes practicing sport with a local development through the Play Unified activities for a more inclusive society and to break the taboo around intellectual disability.
Urban Youth Games: The mission of the Urban Youth Games Movement is to inspire Excellence and bring hope to Every Child in Every Neighborhood.
The Francophone Handball League (LFH) is the French-speaking wing of the Royal Belgian Handball Union (URBH).
The aim of the Association Francophone Belge de Golf ( AFG ) is to work effectively in osmosis with the clubs, golfers, future golfers and the bodies concerned in order to bring golf to a higher level in the Walloon region and in the capital.
The goal of the LFH is to administer, organize, promote and control the development and practice of field and indoor hockey in the French-speaking region and in the bilingual region of Brussels-Capital, in all its aspects and this at a recreational, competitive and high level.
The Royal Léopold Club has been an active sports institution for more than a century. Hockey, tennis, Padel as well as Fitness meet there every day.

Ferencvaros joined World Fair Play Day

Ferencvárosi Torna Club is taking another step to promote fair play.

Ferencvárosi Torna Club /FTC/ is the most popular and one of the most successful multisport club with more than twenty sports in Hungary. The football team entered UEFA Champions League group stage in this season. The water polo team of FTC has won the LEN Champions League in last season. FTC has for many years considered the fight against exclusion, and the education of young people to be sporty to be a priority. They are promoting this even further by joining the World Fair Play Day (WFPD).

The initiatives of Ferencvárosi Torna Club regarding Fair Play

In September 2012, our club made its first campaign video, with that becoming the first Hungarian football club to stand up for the fight against exclusion. This initiative was also recognized by the Hungarian Olympic Committee – Ferencváros was awarded the Fair Play Award in March 2013.
In the spirit of the club’s motto (Morality, Strength, Unity), FTC established the Fradi Fair Play Committee in 2017 within the association.
One of the most important pillars of educating about the spirit of Fair Play is the Fradi School Program, launched almost two years ago. As part of the program, 31,000 students from more than 100 schools have been visited by professional Fradi athletes.
With the help of the Fradi School Program, young people can get advice from credible individuals, Fradi’s well-known champions, for effective competing, sports, and life. In addition, the participating children can get acquainted with the glorious and rich past of Ferencváros, as well as take part in interactive and fun games.

CSIT signed the Manifesto for the World Fair Play Day

Fair Play has been one of the big pillars in CSIT for many years and is a very important value in the community. The CSIT is the only organisation worldwide, that is giving since 2015 a “Fair Play Award” to outstanding participants of its Games with the “CSIT Green Card-Initiative” in cooperation with the European Fair Play Movement EFPM. On the initiative of CSIT Vice President and EFPM President Christian Hinterberger, the Manifesto for the World Fair Play Day has recently been issued. President Bruno Molea has signed this manifesto meanwhile, which is already signed by several organisations such as CSIT member ASKÖ Austria.
